Pinterest for the Classroom

Pinterest is a wonderful tool to use in the classroom. Pinterest is great to find ideas to use for the students. Students can research any topic!
They can look up any classroom topics, quizzes, and practically anything to help them in the classroom.
Teachers can also benefit from Pinterest because they can get lesson plans and different ideas to decorate the classroom to make it a better learning environment.
I used Pinterest to think of ways for students to better understand the lessons.

This weeks lesson was to use components in the Map Key such as Compass Rose, Map Scale, Legend/Key, Inset Map, and Title.
Students had to think of a place that they would like to visit outside of the United States and make a presentation about that particular place.
They had to:
1) Find a specific place that they would like to visit one day.
2) Research the location of their choice.

1    3) Give specific details of where your place is located.
           4) Describe why you would like to visit that specific place.
      5) Make a presentation of the place that you chose.

6)Give interesting facts, location (longitude and latitude), put a picture of the map in your presentation.
      7)  Include the 5 items listen in the Standards section.
      8) Make sure you follow the rubric to get all of your points.
      9) Present your map presentation to the class.
